How to become a radiology technician in Hawaii

Radio techs in Hawaii have to be licensed by the state in order to work. Just like in most states, the licensing process is determined by how well one will perform in their ARRT (American registry of Radiology Technologist) exam, which is a must-pass if you want to get licensed. In addition to this, one has to have graduated from a credited institution in the region in order to be eligible to sit for the ARRT test. The application process for licensing can be done by any student who is at most 3 months away from graduating. Once you pass the ARRT, you can now apply for the working license as a radiology technician. This will involve filling in the application form, getting it notarized, sending it in and paying the required application fees. Some of the documents required for this process include a passport size photograph and your original passport. The renewal for the licenses should be done every two years. The same applies for the ARRT certification. The renewal process will involve completing a 24 hour education continuing credits.

Career opportunities for radiology technicians in Hawaii

Most of them are commonly available in imaging centers, clinics, physician offices and most common of them all, hospitals. The most reliable option of the three will be the state hospitals. There are over 4 main state hospitals in the region.
