The Illinois State Department of Health’s Medical Radiology Services Program is responsible for licensing radiology technicians within the state. The licensing process takes a couple of days most. It starts off with you sitting for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination. This test requires one to be a graduate of any of the accredited radiology learning institutions. You have to pass the exam in order to qualify for your license.
