How to become a radiology technician in Nebraska

In order to pursue a career as a radiology technician in Nebraska, you will have to get licensed first. This is a requirement set by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.

The licensing process will include you paying a little certification fee of $25 and filling in the required forms. However, the most important part of the process is for you to pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam.

In order to sit for the exam, you will have to have graduated from an accredited institution within the state. The unique thing with licensing in Nebraska is that they allow qualification exams from other states so long as they are certified by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists.

For those specifically planning to pursue x-ray imaging, they will have to sit for the ARRT test which has a limited scope based around x-ray imaging. Renewal of the license has to be done every 2 years failure to which one gets discontinued.
